About this item

Nano CH340 Chip Board: Compact and Compatible with Arduino

The CH340 Nano Board R3 is a compact and cost-effective alternative to the Arduino Uno, offering the same core functionality in a smaller, breadboard-friendly format. Designed for projects where space is at a premium, this board is a perfect choice for those seeking affordability and versatility.

Unlike earlier Nano versions that used the FTDI USB-to-serial chip, this model incorporates the CH340 USB-to-serial chip, significantly reducing costs without compromising functionality. The Nano is powered by the ATmega328P-AU microcontroller, making it fully compatible with Arduino Nano R3 software and libraries.

Although smaller in size, the Nano retains essential features of the Uno, with differences such as the absence of a DC power jack and the use of a Mini-B USB port instead of the standard USB connector. Its compact design measures just 43mm x 18mm, making it an ideal choice for embedding in tight spaces.

Power Options:

  • Mini-USB connection
  • 6-20V unregulated external power supply (via pin 30)
  • 5V regulated external power supply (via pin 27)
The board automatically selects the highest available voltage source for operation.

Key Features:

  • ATmega328P-AU microcontroller with pre-installed bootloader
  • 14 digital I/O pins (6 supporting PWM)
  • 8 analog input pins
  • Clock speed: 16 MHz
  • Flash memory: 32 KB (with 2 KB used by the bootloader)
  • Support for USB programming and power
  • Support for external 5V to 12V DC power or a 9V battery
  • Auto-sensing and switching power input
  • LEDs: Power OK (blue), TX (green), RX (red), and L (orange)

Additional Features:

  • TTL-level serial transceiver ports (RX/TX)
  • ICSP header for direct programming
  • Mini-B USB for programming and serial monitoring
  • Manual reset button
  • Standard 0.1″ spacing for breadboard compatibility

The Nano CH340 Chip Board is an excellent choice for small-scale projects, offering the power and flexibility of Arduino in a compact, budget-friendly package.
